Home Again!

Hello All! We are home again! How different could two adoptions be? Well, about as much as possible it seems. Although glad to be home, finally, with baby Soly, we are facing an uphill battle in the quest to find a source of food she can keep down. While her health suffers, she is still the smiliest, happiest 6 month old ever. Weighing in at just 11 lbs and about 21 inches, most folks think she is a newborn. As with TN people are surprised to learn she is much older than she looks. But, let's now waste too much time-- I know you want pictures :)

So glad you're finally home safe and sound with Soly. What a road you have been on. Hoping you can find some food for her to keep down soon. She's stunning. So glad she's happy despite all she's been through!!

Your baby is beautiful. My biological daughter had difficulty keeping formula down. I tried to nurse but it didn't work out. After trying various types of formula including soy and a horribly smelling formula called nutrimagen (not sure of the spelling)Finally I tried a formula called Ross Carbohydrate Free
(RCF) which had to be specially ordered. Carbohydrate in the form of a powdered sucrose had to be added into the formula. This was well tolerated and she drank it until a year old. That was 18 years ago, but it is still made.

What a beautiful little girl! Congratulations!!

I know you much be VERY busy right now, but if you have a second, I was wondering if you could send me a quick e-mail? I saw that you used an agency that we would also like to use for our Ethiopia adoption, and I would feel so much better if I could hear about someone's first-hand experience with them.

Thank you so much!
