1) Happy New Year!!!!! I hope that 2010 is much better for us than 2009. Although Soly finally arrived in our arms, our journey to her, getting home and the anguish of her many illnesses took a toll. Here's to a healthy 2010 for everyone in our family and in yours!
2) Soly! Soly is doing so, so well. After months of tests, diagnosis, endless streams of doctors appointments, trips to specialists and various therapies, she is healthy, happy, rambunctious and perfectly wonderful. She started walking at 12 months and within weeks was running us ragged around the house. She dances and sings. Her vocabulary is small but her personality is HUGE. She is a beaming ray of sunshine everywhere. But, she's tiny! Everyone at restaurants, stores, and the general public gawk at her endlessly amazed that this "little baby" walks and runs. She is quite the public spectacle.
3) Terefech! Terefech is amazing and wonderful. Although still shy with strangers, she has a bright and funny personality. She likes to "trick" us by telling jokes. She talks endlessly causing us to give her 1 minute quiet times. She is so, so tall that we skipped 3T and pretty much jumped right to a 4T and girls 5. So much for being 3 and a half. She's 3 and a half going on 30. She's wise beyond her years, has started to read and spell. She loves her sister and her sister loves her... even if TN has reasoned that the Boa Constrictor at the zoo can easily eat Soly. :)
4) The rest of us... yep, we're last. :) You become a parent and suddenly you, as parents, are just not as important. Nevertheless, here we go! Terry was laid off in November and we pulled the girls from daycare. Terry is loving his time at home as stay-at-home daddy. The girls are thriving under his care and they do lots of fun science activities, trips to the zoo and museums, and enjoy their grocery shopping time! I get to benefit from warm breakfasts and hot coffee in the morning, and yummy dinners in the evening. Me? Well, still working (good!). And, almost done with my MBA. 2010 will be my final year at the Carlson School of Management and I soon be looking for a new job in corporate America. For those of you with connections, let me know if you hear of anything.
I've vowed to recommit myself to the blog and will post pictures soon!
